Greetings, Beloved GemPeople! We are on the verge of our first Mercury Retrograde of 2013, which kicked in at 1:41am this morning – Saturday 2/23/13 – and will last through 3/17/13. The Sabian symbols of this degree of Pisces are “A Master Instructing His Disciples” and “A table set for the evening meal.” What have we learned and how can we deepen our understanding of this past few months since the last Mercury Retrograde period and all that has shifted and transpired in between? Last time was in November and we went to the deep, dark places. This retrograde period, with a Full Moon in Virgo, is much more about integrating, using our best judgement and, I would say employing our keen perception when tempted to “go with the flow” as we might be with the Sun in Pisces. Now, having explored our shadow selves more deeply, we have tools to better discern between illusion and reality and enjoy this next few weeks to see how far we have come and orient ourselves to where we would like to go next. The table is set!
Flourite is the premier stone for bringing order from chaos. Fluorite will assist us in this process to sort through and decide what illuminated and refined items to put on our plate to sample and explore. We are integrating so many things: information, energies, relationship dynamics with others and with ourselves, you name it! It’s like being a a huge buffet table and having to choose which dishes will serve us for health, which look good but we know to empty temptations, which to appreciate from afar and which to dig in and enjoy. This is “more than a metaphor” as the applications can go from 3D and literally what to eat, to spiritual, i.e. what feels right and your new perceptions about reality. Fluorite will be with you this whole retrograde period to assist sorting, digesting, or disposing, of any of this. Fluorite is also a very protective stone, so can provide some energetic shielding while you are in the midst of your considerations.
Keep it near you in areas of meditation, perhaps keep one in your pocket or hold in your hand as a worry stone while you’re watching TV or reading, put one under your pillow, or find some nice jewelry made with Purple Banded Fluorite and wear it during the Mercury Retrograde time.
