Wishing each of you Beloved GemPeople a Happy Full Moon in Libra! This first Moon of the astrological year is also called the Sap Moon, because the Maple trees begin releasing their delicious liquor and farmers install taps to collect it. This moon is called the Worm Moon by the Algonquin people as this Moon the earthworms start coming to the surface to aerate the soil and provide food for birds. And of course, this moon coincides generally with Easter and Passover, which are about re-birth and new beginnings, emancipation from the old to the new paradigm, and preparation for the unfoldment of the next chapter in the cycle. With this Full Moon in Libra, many of our preparations are coming into fullness, and about to burst onto newly prepared ground. With the Libra aspect we are focused on how that affects the whole; i.e. what should we share and what should we keep to ourselves while still being authentic and considerate. This is an interesting balance with the Sun in Aries which is all about the individual and taking action now to meet our goals.
For these energies, Guidance is suggesting we work with the mineral Artinite [Mg2(CO3)(OH)2·3H2O], a hydrated Magnesium Carbonate Hydroxide . This soft, satiny white mineral first found in Italy, has been more recently found in the United States as well and is most likely found globally. It usually appears in acicular crystals, and can form what look like fluffy poofy balls on a matrix. This mineral brings lightness to negotiations and a harmonizing, smoothing effect on all communications. We will need this with the opposing energies of Libra and Aries, don’t you think? Not only to bring this balance to the relationships with others without whom we could not achieve our goals, but also to keep an eye out for the large picture while we are attending to the individual pieces. The Sabian Symbol for this degree of Libra is, “A Woman Feeding Chickens While Protecting Them From The Hawks.” This is our task in this time frame – make it so everybody wins!!
