Silver for Beltane/Wesak Super-Full Moon on 5-5-12

Greetings, Beloved GemPowerment Family! This Full Moon is what’s called a “super-moon” or, scientifically a “perigee moon” as the Moon will be the closest to Earth in its orbit all year. With the addition of the Full Moon being in Scorpio, emotions are apt to run high and anything attempting to be deeply hidden or stagnant can be revealed or released. With the addition of Beltane this week, which is the Celtic Earth Festival when “sweet desire weds wild delight”, we are bound to be tempted by our 3D natures. Very interestingly, Wesak, the Buddhist celebration of the Enlightenment of the Buddah through non-attachment, occurs at the same time this weekend. So, where the heck does that leave us?

As we all know, metals are crystals too, and today Guidance would like me to post on our beautiful friend Silver (Ag) to assist us today through Sunday. Silver is the most “yin” of the workable, non-toxic metals, and brings out the benefits of any stone without overpowering it or changing it. When we need to re-connect with our yin, our ability to be in the flow and receive, connect with Silver. This metal is strongest during a Full Moon, but can assist in balancing one’s feminine energies in any lunar phase. We can wear it, hold it, or take internally (i.e. in a commercially-available colloidal form).

The message I am getting is for both men and women to embrace their receptive, emotive, and more feminine side and give being appropriately vulnerable a try over the next few days. Silver will softly support you in riding the currents of emotion, desire, and experience, and help bring you back to yourself when the journey is done. Isn’t it true that in order to have detachment we must first acknowledge and/or allow these emotions, desires, experiences, which otherwise would just fester and poke at us from the inside? Allowing ourselves to be the limitless be-ings that we are and then choosing the right action from our Highest Selves in the moment of decision; isn’t that part of the Buddhist nature? Silver can act as your guiding light in this energy. May your Journey this weekend be fruitful: physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually!
