Greetings, GemPowerment Family and welcome to the GemYenta’s Blog!
When we think of Iron, we most often think of strength and firmness, i.e. an “Iron Fist” or an “Iron Will” and perhaps all the Iron used in steel from which is built mankind’s strongest structures. I am being guided to write today about collectively focusing on the Yin aspects of Iron, as this metal is, literally, at the Core of all things on this planet.
The core of Mother Earth is comprised of Iron (and a few other elements): some like to refer to it as the Iron Core Crystal of the Earth. The growth of the inner core which cools and heats again, helps to generate this planet’s magnetic field by dynamic action in the liquid outer core. Iron is also easily magnetized, and it is from this we get our planet’s poles. Iron comprises a high percentage of some meteors and asteroids in the cosmos so this element is not only on Earth. Iron is also at the core of our hemoglobin and makes our living blood red. It is the presence of Iron that gives us the Oxygen we need for our lives. It’s presence in muscle tissue helps with proper contraction. So, Iron keeps our planet rotating and pumping along, and it does so in our bodies as well. For something so common, it’s pretty important and very easy to take for granted.
The message I am getting from this is for each of us to feel this connection with the Iron in our bodies to the Iron Core Crystal of the Earth. Feel this in a very intimate way. Every time you draw breath you are engaging the Iron, which tirelessly grabs and transports Oxygen to where we need it. Every day/night cycle the Earth is relying on it’s inner convection to rotate and to maintain the planet’s magnetic field and atmosphere. We need Iron to breathe and Earth needs Iron to breathe as well. And then, when you have that feeling of gratitude welling up in you, direct it back to Mother Earth with Love, for we are, in so many ways, Children of the Earth. As she flourishes, so do we!
