Greetings GemPowerment Family and Happy Autumn Equinox for us Northern Hemisphere folks, and Happy Spring Equinox for our friends in the Southern Hemisphere! No matter which one you live in, it is equal day and night hours, as the Sun moves into Libra, the sign of the Scales of balance!
We have been through so much lately with the cosmic waves of energy we’ve been exposed to on our beautiful little planet! We are in a constant state of dynamic balance with our electro-magnetic fields changing due to solar flare and earthquake activity around the globe, expressing our masculine vs. feminine aspects, being out-ward focused vs. internally-focused, control vs. intuition, etc. Now here we are at the crest of this wave, experiencing a moment of balance before we move once again.
Pink Dolomite (CaMg(CO3)2) is a relatively soft stone (3.5 – 4) which is a main component of cement, and is known as a stone of calming and homeostasis. It has been known to counteract moodiness and bring a sense of moderation to emotional states as it assists in compassionate detachment from drama. And there certainly is so much of this lately…in politics, in society, and in our individual lives as everybody around us is trying to find their balance as well. Pink Dolomite gently assures us at our Heart Center level that “all is well” and we feel much more open to observe and appreciate the little miracles around us, such as subtle signs from our Guides and Angels, or a moment of peace watching a passing cloud or watching a bee on a flower in our yard, etc. It is also said that, due to the chemical makeup of this stone, this Mineral Ally can assist with balancing Ca+ and Mg+ in the muscles, which brings about correct muscle contraction and relaxation and of course is excellent for staying calm yet alert. Pink Dolomite invites us into “harmony in motion.” The best way to work with it is to place in a room for general effect and this can be amplified by a Quartz Crystal grid in the space. You may of course meditate with it and keep it on your person. The gemmy version is sometimes made into jewelry and is quite pretty.
