Greetings Beloved GemPowerment Family, and Happy New Moon in Libra!! With both the Sun and Moon in the same sign – of Libra (cardinal Air sign) which is about balance, justice, intuition and psychic abilities, curiosity, and partnerships, to name a few things. It is also a sign of communication and communion and in the Moon Dark/New phase we are being given an opportunity to bring back into harmony all those places in our lives and in our relationships that have been out of balance. That means with ourselves, with each other, and especially with Mother Earth.
Bustamite [(Mn,Ca)3Si3O9], named for the Mexican General Anastasio Bustamente (1780 – 1853), is a translucent Manganese Calcium Silicate, first found in New Jersey, USA but not made popular until it was discovered in South Africa later on. It is fairly rare, especially in its gemmy form. Many who work with this gemstone and are sensitive to energies feel the expansion of Joy in their Heart Chakras in its presence. Oddly, one of the metaphysical myths about Bustamite is that it will become dull in the presence of danger (signalling a loss of Joy?). I’m not so sure about that one. However, what I can tell you for sure is that Bustamite may assist in connecting our High-heart Centers with Mother Earth – I mean we DO have a celebration coming up on 12/21/12 – and is a means to connect with those energies and tap into Earth’s Light Grid to send Joy around and into the planet. Bustamite is known to alleviate the mental tension of disharmonious situations and help us feel a way out of it for mutually agreeable resolution. We may even do it so well with Bustamite’s help that we may not have to have that situation come up again. This high-vibration Mineral Ally would be a great tool for looking into our relationships with ourselves and examining how we are really treating ourselves and what keeps us from experiencing acceptance, love, and the Joy of living our lives. New Moons are excellent for a fresh perspective or start on something, so make use of the energies with Bustamite!
