Greetings Sparkly GemPeople and Happy New Moon Celebrations!! This is a powerful New Moon coming up and Guidance is offering some very interesting wisdom from the Crystal Realm on a “new” Ally for us to partner with to optimize the energies!
First, a word on the astrological picture. This New Moon is happening at 3:41pm Pacific Time/6:41pm Eastern in the US is in Leo. As you are probably aware, the Sun just passed into Leo as well, Jupiter just entered Leo last week and a few days past the New Moon on July 31st, Mercury moves into Leo. In short, there’s a whole lotta Leo going on! We will be tempted to turn up the volume on our Light, have big hair and makeup, and party! And, if we channel the Leo energies correctly, we will flow with love, courage, generosity, with passionate expression and warmth from our hearts. If we get our tails stepped on, or if we are not comfortable with living la vida Leo, we might get snarky, petty, nip at the wrong people for the wrong reason, and make decisions from ego and pride. In addition, there are quite a few other important energies affecting this New Moon, one of which is Mars going into Scorpio on July 25th, right before the New Moon; which turns up the intensity and desire for immediate action/resolution on everything.
Now, let’s talk about our “new” friend Defernite [Ca6(CO3)2¡x(SiO4)x(OH)7(Cl; OH)]. Whenever a mineral comes up for one of the GemYenta’s Blog posts of which I have not worked with or, in this case, heard of before, I know it means Humanity is ready to expand and raise it’s vibration a little more. This is a rare carbonate mineral, mostly from Namibia where the best specimens are found, with a few of lesser quality in Turkey, is colorless, rose brown, or a brighter red. It is very soft at a 3 on the Moh’s Scale, and is found quite often in habits with Hematite, Calcite, Copper, Vesuvanite, Diopside, and Barite, to name a few. Often inclusions of Iron, Manganese, and/or Magnesium are found, which is what mineralogists believe gives the red color. Defernite was only discovered and verified in 1980 so is relatively new to Humanity. Defernite is a very interesting mineral, which is closely tied to its complicated matrix. As it happens, the entire matrix is positively charged with Hydrogen cations forming the channels along the axis, and is only balanced by negatively charged Cl atoms (anions) in the channels. It is very difficult for water molecules to form inside the matrix because most of the Hydrogen is bound up already. If you add a few more Manganese atoms, the structure changes and you get a mineral called Holdawayite. Not to get to far into details, but basically this mineral can shift itself and morph into related minerals very easily with the introduction of a few additional atoms, yet is completely stable due on its own due to the crystalline structure. There is not much information out there on it, but from what Melody describes in her LIITE “Bible”, it works well to enhance the energies of other stones with which it is combined. So, it makes lots of sense that it is in combination with Dalmation Stone for the New Moon energy shift due to the intensity and the potential emotional volume that is possible! On its own it is about self-acceptance, without judgement, and that we are “perfectly imperfect” exactly how we are.
Many of you are already familiar with Dalmation Stone, which is a combination of a Quartz/Microcline matrix with Black Tourmaline (volcanic) pocked all through it. This has always been a favorite stone of mine, one to help us keep in contact with our inner child, with the Animal Kingdom, and the innocence of youth. Due to the presence of the Black Tourmaline, it is a grounding and balancing stone and offers protection from physical challenges such as EMF’s or from psychic/energetic attack. With a Dalmation Stone, we are encouraged to be more open, vulnerable, and playful. It is a gentle auric cleanser and assists one release the lower vibration emotions of anger, guilt, resentment, grief, etc. from the body by enriching the connection with the physical via the Earth Star, Root, and Sacral Chakras. With all the possible gregariousness in the upcoming New Moon energies, we may need a little something to ground us, to lend harmonizing vibrations, and to assist us in letting down our pretenses and ego selves which will be piqued this weekend, and just enjoy ourselves and each other.
I am certain, due to its rarity, that not many GemPeople out there will have Defernite, but the energy of the Deva is very willing (but not used to much attention, so the energy is a bit soft): all you need do is ask. It would be helpful if you could have a piece of Dalmation Stone with you physically, and then ask the two Devas to energize that piece with vibrations from both stones. I am told that once charged in the New Moon energies with intention, you can keep your piece of enhanced Dalmation Stone with you to work with this until the Full Moon.
