Greetings my Beloved GemPeeps and here’s wishing you a very Happy New Moon in Pisces: the last New Moon of the astrological year! We’ve had so much Pisces going on lately along with a Mercury retrograde, but now it’s time to get prepared for all the things we’ve been dreaming about, imagining, and working to release that no longer serves us to drop away so we hit the ground running in the next few weeks.
You and I both get to learn about a new stone today, and how appropriate that it’s a New Moon! Guidance has lead me to share about a very rare mineral called Legrandite. Legrandite [ Zn2(AsO4)(OH)•(H2O) ] is a hydrous zinc arsenate, at around a 4.5 on the Moh’s Scale, that usually hangs out with other rare specimens like adamite, limonite, smithsonite, paradamite, austinite, mimetite and other zinc oxidation zone minerals. It can be colorless, but when a collectible piece is found, it is a striking canary yellow. The best specimens are known to come from Ojuela Mine in Durango Mexico, but it has been found at other sites in that region as well.
So, why this rare crystal at this time? According to Melody in her LIITE Encyclopedia, Legrandite is about getting rid of prejudice or anything that stands in the way of “furtherance of the equality of humanity.” (pg. 433) When I checked in, Guidance says this energy is about complete balance with the ego if we are to allow ourselves to come more completely into 5D existence and Unity Consciousness. Prejudice is the ego’s way of grasping onto polarity/duality in any situation, i.e. as long as it’s an “Us vs. Them” situation, the ego always has a place to call home. But, that is not what Oneness is about. Perhaps one of the reasons we have not yet been able to prove String Theory is that we are not quite at the stage to truly grasp the concept of the Unified Field. Legrandite is being put in our path at this juncture as an invitation to explore where our individual and collective prejudice blocks the fullest expression of ourselves, our imaginations, our ideas, and our spirituality.
