Greetings GemPowerment Family! Welcome to another intense cosmic episode of “As the Earth Turns”, with the Sun moving into the Sign of Scorpio, as well as, Mercury going retrograde in the same sign (it will move from 18 back to 2 degrees Scorpio before it’s over on 11/10/13). Scorpio is a water sign of intense emotions; nuggets buried deep in our individual Dark Night of the Soul that, when discovered and brought to Light, represent priceless treasure of our spirit’s unfoldment and transcendence. Or, we can end up buried with those nuggets in a dark well. With the retrograde in addition we will be lead to re-visit, re-think, re-design, and possibly be tempted to re-act to, everything about the way we communicate and relate with our loved ones and old traumas around relationships. We may need to reveal our deepest fears and desires, which in some instances could be pulling at old scars, to find the better way forward. The only way that I see to make the most of this situation is to be vulnerable to the possibility of being stung, armed only with LOVE and brutal honesty with yourself and with those with whom you share your life about the good, bad, and the ugly of YOU. However, we do have assistance from the Crystal Realm for this time to emerge victorious, and it’s White Apophyllite!
White Apophyllite is a hydrated silicate mineral and is known as one of the stones of the “New Consciousness.” The meaning of the name Apophyllite, comes from the Greek words that mean ‘get’ and ‘leaf’… referring to its tendency to flake apart like a leaf when heated, due to water loss. It can appear in many colors and seems to be evolving along with humanity over the last few years with new variations, although white and green are still the most common. Apophyllite has a hardness of 4.5 to 5 on the Mohs scale, and is often transparent and gemmy, with a luster that ranges from pearly to vitreous. It could be thought of as an ambassador from the Mineral Kingdom to humanity at large, to introduce us to the higher vibrational realms and a multi-dimensional existence. It’s one of the best high-vibration stones to choose with if you’re just starting working with the Mineral Kingdom in this way. This stone is stimulating to the brow chakra and can assist in meditation to stay in the Eternal Now. It can also open the Crown and trans-personal chakras to dissipate any illusion of separateness. If you are drawn to work with Apophyllite then you are being given the opportunity for powerful transformation!
The message of Apophyllite for this Scorpio/Mercury Retrograde time is to “be a light in the darkness” for us as we tramp on through our personal quagmires, or, as the Universe likes to call them, “learning opportunities.” We might need some help from time to time having faith that there is indeed a Light at the end of the tunnel. I thought of this clip from the LTOR – Fellowship of the Ring movie when I heard this message:
Apophyllite is there to remind us that the Truth of our existence is we are inherently Light-beings, and we are ONE with Source, no matter how dark and desperate our egos have painted the facade. Apophyllite is like the extra cell-phone tower to make sure we can stay in contact with this Truth when we’re trapped in a deep valley.
Guidance recommends wearing as much Apophyllite as you can for this 3-week period of time, whenever you need it.
