Greetings My Beloved GemPeople! I’m so happy to once again be posting back on the GemYenta’s Blog after many months of our move transition and dealing with sketchy technology in temporary housing and then getting things set up in our new home. I suppose it is only fitting to be writing this post for the Super Full Moon in Capricorn this Saturday 7-12-14 as we come to a completion or fullness point in our process. My heart-felt thanks to each of you who offered support for me and for GemPowerment during this time and going forward!!
This Super Full Moon in Capricorn is opposing the Sun in Cancer for this time, as most of you know. On the one hand we will be urged to be dutiful with our responsibilities, our work, and be pragmatic and professional. We may have a tendency to be more assertive and feel the push to “get stuff done.” On the other we will be concerned with family matters, seeking security, and maybe feeling the desire to hole up in our house and polish your silver while baking cookies or whatever you do to nurture your loved ones. We will be called on to balance these opposites and Guidance is offering the Mineral Ally of Green Calcite for this purpose!
Calcite gets its name from “chalix” the Greek word for lime and has the same basic chemical formula as chalk but with a different crystalline structure. There are said to be more than 300 crystal forms of calcite and these can combine to produce a thousand or more different crystal variations. Calcite can be found in a number of colors including white or colorless, green, yellow, orange, blue, pink brown, red, black and gray. Green Calcite is particularly refreshing and relaxing to the mind, body, and emotions; especially where there are fiery feelings or tissues in the body. This stone is particularly good for taxed adrenals. And let’s face it: with all the work and stuff we’ve been through lately we can use it!! Green Calcite opens the Heart Chakra, therefore promoting a connection with the true desires of our heart. Green Calcite is excellent in dissolving old energy patterns and can assist in looking at situations in a new way. This variety of Calcite assists in “increasing” whatever is being focused on, which is why it is known as a stone of prosperity, fertility, and abundance.
Guidance is pairing us up with Green Calcite during this Full Moon time to illuminate our relationship with work. Are you loving what you do? Does it bring you Joy? I don’t know about you, but I’ve been entrenched in the male-dominated, Capricorn work-style most of my life. Just Do It, Idle Hand are the Devils Workshop, The Early Bird Gets the Worm, and of course, keep emotions and work far from each other because to do otherwise is unprofessional, etc. This way of approaching work changed my core operating belief system that, if work had to be hard with emotions in check, then all of Life should be like that. Thus, Joy was always slightly elusive because everything in a situation had to be perfect or the satisfaction in a job well-done was flawed. Green Calcite opens up our Heart Chakas to compassion and Joy, and works very well on calming the Fire element and its related meridians (Heart, Small Intestine, Pericardium, and Triple Warmer, which includes the Adrenal glands) that always take a hit with stress. We have been going about it all wrong…work should radiate from the Heart Chakra primarily as what we create with our Hearts with Joy comes through our hands into our work. Have you ever had a meal prepared with love, or seen the passion in a work of art created by an artist in touch with their emotional, creative body? What if each one of us worked this way first, with Joy and Love, whether that was as an accountant, a hair stylist, a computer technician, or a truck driver? How would the world be different? OK, change like that doesn’t come in a day, but that is the beauty of conscious choice and quantum creation: one person does it and resonates that out, and the whole vibration changes!
For this Full Moon time, it is recommended that you keep a piece of Green Calcite with you or near you when you are working. Place it on your desk or, if you have a job where you are moving around, put a piece in your pocket or for us Ladies in our bras. Allow yourself throughout your workday to hold or touch your stone and spend a few mini-moments feeling your emotions as you are working. The Green Calcite will help you open to this process which can assist with identifying what you are feeling. Then use the Capricorn energy to look factually at your work situation and devise contingencies for how you could change your work situation to bring you more Joy. It would be very helpful to have an intention to go along with the Green Calcite. An example might be some version of, “I easily create ways to improve my work situation so I always feel Joy in performing my duties, which also brings me satisfaction and prosperity, while feeling connected to my Soul’s Purpose with deep satisfaction.” This is a working process, GemPeeps, and you will get out of it what you put into it!
