Aztec Rainbow Calcite is a perfect example of Universal Love and Oneness and a gift from Mother Earth to create that in ourselves!

Greetings Beloved GemPowerment Family! Welcome to the party that is the largest and brightest of all four of the Super Moons this year, happening at 11:09am US/PDT (Washington/Oregon/California) on Sunday, August 10th! Of course, we know that the energies start a few days before and end a few days after an astrological/astronomical event, so there’s plenty of time to work with the energies. 😀

This particular Full Moon is in Aquarius occurs with the Sun in Leo and forms a curious contrast of seemingly very different energies. We think of Leo as focused on individuality, one who has a fierce passion, is a bit showy, and possessed of a rather large ego, but is heart-centered and generous with loved-ones (I can say this as I’m a Leo!) Aquarius is the sign of working in elevated purpose for the common good, compassionate but distant, who doesn’t tend to judge or be arrogant, and is very brain-centric. Actually, I see these two signs are quite complimentary in many ways and have a similar intent to be of service, to spread love, and to encourage others to feel free to be themselves. Since there has been quite a bit happening with the Leonine energies of late, i.e. with Jupiter going into Leo and the Lion’s Gate Star Portal opening up as it does every year on 8/8 to channel to us Light Codes from the Galactic Center through our local Sun, it might be quite helpful to inject a little Aquarian vibe into the mix. This Full Moon in August is the “Moon When All Things Ripen” in the Dakotah Sioux tradition and this is an excellent way to describe the energy of what we are receiving from the Universe. Right now we have an opportunity to utilize it for the highest good of all. If the Leo energies don’t want to do this, the Aquarian energies can step back and remind us that when one gives truly from the heart to help others, there is a powerful benefit to the giver. On the other hand, Leo can assist Aquarius to feel safer expressing emotion and taking some pleasure in a win-win job well-done. As we move into Oneness awareness and away from polarity consciousness, doesn’t that make sense?

For those of you who have seen Aztec Rainbow Calcite you know it is an amazing blend of many colors of Calcite – usually red, white, green, and black (mainly bands of iron) – in discernible bands. I was lucky enough to find some nice pieces in Sedona when we were there for the 11:11:11 Stargate playing crystal bowls at one of the vortexes. I fell in love immediately.  Calcite in general is one of my favorite stones since it is able to cleanse both bodies and spaces of all discordant energies. It does, in turn, need to be cleansed more often for this reason. This is best done by burning White Sage and bathing it in the smoke for a while. You will know when it is complete when the whole stone looks bright again. Let the stone cool and then rinse for a little while with cool (not cold) water and dry with a soft cloth. Calcite can crack easily if exposed to extremes of temperature (3 on the Moh’s Scale). Also, it will fade if exposed to direct sunlight for long periods, but can be easily charged in indirect sunlight. This should happen naturally if you place it in an open space in your house. It’s helpful to place a Citrine near it interim to help keep clear longer between saging.

The beauty of the Aztec Rainbow Calcite is this harmonious and beautiful merger of these layers that activate Earth Star, Root, Heart, and Transpersonal Chakras simultaneously. You have a piece that is able to elevate energies yet ground, tonify and cleanse, energize and expand, all at once. I have always found Calcite to assist with accessing multiple dimensions so it is a beautiful accent for chanelling your Divine I AM Presence for anything you wish to create. If you don’t already have a piece of this I recommend you get one! I would say the raw pieces are best, although there are some polished pieces available, but they IMHO they don’t do it justice.

Guidance suggests you work with your Aztec Rainbow Calcite by just having a piece in your house. If you can’t get a piece in time for this Full Moon put up a picture and ask the Deva to bring in the intended energies. During the next three days, ask your stone (or picture) to assist you to be conscious of your thought patterns, belief system, and anything that evokes a strong emotional reaction from you, during the Full Moon time. Ask for the energies of the stone  to work with your Divine I AM Presence to bring you clarity, healing on all levels for the issue, a new perspective, or whatever it is you would like. Even better…you can leave your Aztec Rainbow Calcite outside on Saturday night to be charged with the (near-full) moonlight. Remember to bring it in before the sun gets too high in the sky so the colors won’t fade. Even though it won’t be out exactly during the Full Moon which occurs in the US during daylight, it will absorb what it needs.  Some good questions to ask during this Full Moon are:

1. What situations in my life make me feel powerful and free, and which ones not?

2. How can I change my situation through my deeds, thoughts, attitudes, etc., so that it’s a win-win result?

3. If I’m feeling lack, how can I shift things so I can make sure my needs are met while helping others?

4. Am I willing to be more open to my true feelings and really experience them? If so, then what are they? Try it for only 3 days!!

These are just suggestions…use your creativity and the combo of the Aquarian Full Moon and Leo Sun to think of the best ones for you!

Wishing each of you Peace, Beauty, Truth, and Grace on your personal Journey….

Love,

Lisa

p.s. (Kind of like when you wait until after the credits at a Marvel Comics movie! I would like to clarify a few points on Aztec Rainbow Calcite. Sometimes it is also called Inca Calcite, or just Aztec Calcite, although this can be confusing because there are many works of art from the Aztec and Incan cultures carved from Calcite. The only place I know this stone is found currently is Arizona, so if you find some on-line  – especially if it’s polished – be cautious it’s really Aztec Rainbow Calcite. The term “Rainbow Calcite” is used traditionally when Calcite (usually in polished form) has a rainbow in it from an internal fracture, such as in Iceland Spar of Golden Calcite. Also, please do not confuse this with Rainbow Calsilica, which is a completely different animal (pun intended!) and is of mysterious origin. Most people don’t think it’s a natural stone. That’s all for now! LMK
